About six members of the National Youths Service Corps, NYSC, would have their service years extended for flouting the service scheme laws.
Bauchi state Coordinator of the scheme, Agolayan James disclosed this in Bauchi during the passing out parade of 2017 batch A corps members.
The state Coordinator added that the management’s decision to honour four ‘outstanding Corps members followed their commitment by distinguishing themselves during their one year service in Bauchi state.
James explained that the award winners did not only work in different organizations, but executed numerous community development projects and programs both at groups and individuals levels.
“These range from construction work, infrastructural improvements, environmental sanitation, educational and social programs as well as aggressive awareness campaigns on reproductive health, HIV /AIDS and sustainable development goals among others”. He said.
He noted that the NYSC recognises and rewards hard work.
James gave the names of the four Corps members who received the state awards as: Abidemi Ayodele Olubisaye, Buhari Isa, Precious Ekodi Ekodi Emmanuel and Awoshi Mercy.
